Kauai real estate agents closed on 46 single family homes and 24 condos in June, the Hawaii Information Service reported Wednesday. The median home price was $655,000; the median condo price was $572,500.

Home sales volume was roughly the same as the 42 homes that went to closing in June 2006, but condo sales volume fell 43 percent from the 67 that closed back then. The median home price was up 9 percent while the median condo price was up 33 percent.

There were 13 sales in Kawaihau district, which includes Kapaa, and 8 in adjacent Lihue district. Their median prices were both close to $600,000.

There were 12 sales in Hanalei, compared to 8 a year ago, and 10 in Koloa, same as last year. The Koloa median price was $642,500 but half of the sales in Hanalei were for more than $885,000.

Of the 24 condos, 14 were divided equally between Koloa, with more sales above $600,000, and Hanalei, with more sales above $1.5 million.
